This Privacy Policy explains what information Anudinam (“we”, “us”) collects through anudinam.in and the Anudinam Android app, and how we use it. Anudinam is a Tamil Panchangam (Vedic calendar) service that shows daily Thithi, Nakshatram, and related timings, personalized to your location and preferences.
Information We Collect

How We Use This Information
- To calculate and personalize daily Panchangam timings (sunrise/sunset, Rahu Kalam, Yama Gandam, muhurta windows, and similar) for your specific location.
- To send you daily digest push notifications, if you have enabled them.
- To let you submit event/festival listings for admin review (see Terms of Service) if you choose to do so.
- To secure your account and investigate suspicious activity.
Third-Party Services
We share the minimum data necessary with these providers to operate the service:
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) – delivers push notifications to your device. Google receives your device’s push token, not your name or mobile number.
- Fast2SMS – delivers the one-time password (OTP) SMS used to log in. Fast2SMS receives your mobile number only for the purpose of sending that SMS.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
Data Retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account (see our Account & Data Deletion page), we delete your profile, location, notification preferences, and device tokens. A small number of security-log entries may be kept for up to 90 days afterward solely to investigate abuse, then are permanently removed.
Your Rights
You can review and update your profile, location, and notification preferences at any time from the Account panel on the website or in the app. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time – see Account & Data Deletion.
Children’s Privacy
Anudinam is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
