What is Kari Naal?
Kari Naal (literally “inauspicious day”) refers to specific dates within each Tamil solar month (Maasam) that are traditionally considered unfavorable for starting new ventures, ceremonies, or major life events.

“Date” here is the day count from the start of the masam, not the lunar Thithi.
